CRESTLINE, Calif., July 24 (Inland Empire News Online) — A black bear pushed open the front door of the Crestline Village Water District office in the San Bernardino Mountains on Wednesday afternoon and wandered through the building before leaving, according to surveillance video from the district and employees who saw it.

The video showed the bear standing on its hind legs to open the door at about 12:15 p.m., then spending about two minutes in the lobby before briefly entering the main office area, the district’s office manager said.

Employees said no customers were in the office at the time and no one was hurt. The bear then left calmly and headed back toward the woods, staff said.

The district said the bear did not damage the office, though employees later noticed nose prints on the doors.
