CALIFORNIA (Times Media Service) – The National Park Service has announced six free entrance days for 2025, providing Ridgecrest residents and visitors an excellent opportunity to explore California’s stunning national parks at no cost. These free admission days are spread throughout the year, making it easier for desert community members to experience the state’s natural wonders.

- January 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- April 19: First Day of National Park Week
- June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
- August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
- September 27: National Public Lands Day
- November 11: Veterans Day

What You Need to Know
While entrance fees will be waived on these days, it’s important to note that the free admission does not cover camping fees, boat launches, transportation costs, special tours, or timed-entry and reservation fees.
